Mooncakes Discounts Recommendations XD

Last updated on 15th January 2021, Friday

Looking to buy mooncakes? I know I am. ๐Ÿ˜Š

As you know, a lot of mooncakes are not cheap, and especially if you are looking for specific ones like durian mooncakes, or those from hotels.

In the past I used to get them from roadshows in shopping malls, but because of the current pandemic, I am not even out often enough to be sure if there are or will still be roadshows for mooncakes.

I am also too lazy to make them myself, which I did previously but it’s too much work and also, I have been craving for durian mooncakes. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Therefore, I have been searching them online, hopefully at cheaper or early bird prices. So here are some recommendations on where to get them at a cheaper price. ๐Ÿ˜‰

1) Shopee

Shopee is currently having a sale for mooncakes, with special rates for early birds.

You can do a search for mooncakes as shown below and click on the highlighted:

Remember to collect vouchers in Shopee before you make your purchases. There are shops specific vouchers, shopee cashback vouchers and bank promotions/ vouchers.

There is also an upcoming promotion on 9th September so if you can wait, there might be special offers and vouchers for that day. Vouchers will probably need to be collected beforehand.

You can see this banner in the middle of the homepage today for early bird deals:

If you are new to Shopee, you can get $10 off your first purchase by using my referral code and link as talked about here:

Shopee Referral/ First Time Promo Code

From what I have seen so far, I think most if not all mooncakes purchased here comes with free delivery.

2) Shopback

Shopback is also having a sale for mooncakes.

Check out the featured campaigns banner in the second tab, as shown below:

Do look out for special daily deals where the mooncakes vouchers are available at an even cheaper price in limited quantity.

The downside of purchasing from shopback is that, you will have to collect it yourself. I didn’t see any choice for delivery.

If you are new to shopback, here is my referral code/ link for your first $5 sign up bonus:

3) Fave

Next up is Fave. Fave is a site where you can get deals at a discounted rate, so you can definitely expect mooncakes too.

Currently, they are running an early bird sale for mooncakes, which you can find in one of the banners on the homepage.

There are mooncakes from various hotels and popular merchants.

From what I have read, the mooncakes here seem to be available for either pick up or both pick up and delivery, but the cost for delivery seems to be quite high so remember to check them out before you buy the vouchers.

If you are new to fave, you can use my referral code to sign up for your $1 off your first purchase. ๐Ÿ˜…

I think Qoo10 also has some mooncakes promotions going on but as I didn’t check out the site, I wouldn’t elaborate on it, but you can check it out and compare if you want to.

For now, I think Shopee seems to be the best choice for me to get my mooncakes, since there is free delivery and promo codes/ cashback.

For the first time user, the $10 discount is definitely the most attractive out of all. Also, if you make your purchase in shopee as a first time buyer, using shopback, you can get additional cashback.

Enjoy the mooncakes! ๐Ÿฅฎ๐Ÿฅฎ

(I prefer snowskin mooncakes to traditional, just saying. ๐Ÿ˜‹)

Oh, and if you are wondering, Mid Autumn Festival is on the 1st October 2020, Thursday. ๐ŸŽ‘๐Ÿฎ
