My account has been banned for having too many referrals. I could not get my account back, even though I had spendings accumulated and also requested for them to remove the referral dMiles that was earned. I have not even redeemed anything from my spendings yet.
Thus, I assume that my referral code is no longer valid so I will be removing it from my posts. You will probably have to get the referral code from other sources. 🙁
Do keep in mind if you are going to refer anyone, that your account might get banned like mine, if you refer too many. Though I really have no idea how many is too many. :X
Did you know that Don Don Donki (Singapore), yes the Japanese supermarket, has a referral programme?
I had absolutely no idea, until I was checking out their monthly promotions coupons in the app, did I notice the referral part.
I signed up as a member previously when I bought groceries but I didn’t have any referral code to use so sharing this here for you guys.
The referral code consists of both letters and numbers, which you can find in your app.
When you sign up with a referral code, you will receive 10 dmiles which can be used to redeem cash coupons. It’s really very little, but it’s a start. 😅
The main idea of being a member is to accumulate dmiles (their reward points) with purchases. You can earn dmiles with every dollar spent (rounded down).
Other than this, it’s good to be a member because they have monthly coupons, of either food or items where you can purchase at a discounted price.
Their membership comes in different tiers and you would have to be a very regular customer to climb those tiers, which I am personally not, so I am only in the lowest bronze.
This is what you have to spend within a year to get up to those tiers (starting from the date you reach each tier).
Bronze: 1 dMiles for every $1 – Amount to next tier $2000
Silver: 2 dMiles for every $1 – Amount to next tier $5000
Gold: 3 dMiles for every $1 – Amount to next tier $15000
Platinum: 4 dMiles for every $1
With the dmiles accumulated, you can redeem for coupons and the lowest amount you need to redeem for $1 coupon is 100 dmiles. This is why I said 10 dmiles for referral is very little. 😂
What can you redeem your dMiles for?
100 dMiles = $1 coupon
1000 dMiles = $10
2000 dMiles = $20
The good thing about this rewards program is that the dmiles doesn’t expire, so long you are active, which I assume is that you use it once in a while within the year.
Also, they added something new which is to review your transactions products.
Click on Rate Products in your homepage and choose your transactions to rate the items you bought. Different products earn you various amount of dMiles. The highest I received so far is 5 dMiles. Not all items are valid for rating.
If you are interested to refer your friends and family, this is what they will receive when you send your referral code/ link to them:
Konnichiwa! Sign up for DON DON DONKI membership with my referral code. Both of us will get 10 dMiles when you make your first purchase 😉
Also, just to add that during your birthday month, remember to check your app as there is a $5 birthday treat you can redeem. It’s a $5 cash coupon for 2021 and 2022, and has a requirement of minimum $20 spending to use the voucher in 2023, which might or might not change in future
If you are interested to know more about the birthday treat, check this post: Don Don Donki $5 Birthday Treat
By the way, their app loads very slowly so I usually open the app to let it load before I approach the cashier. If not, I will feel so bad holding up the queue just because the app doesn’t load. 😅
Have fun shopping!
I am really craving for the puddings from Donki now. 🤨
