Today is the 4th day of Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year) over here in Singapore.
The first and second day are public holidays here. But Chinese New Year is celebrated over 15 days, from the 1st day of the lunar calendar till the 15th day. Therefore, during these 15 days, you can still say Happy New Year to people you meet. 😊
