It’s random but you have to use the “Potter’s Calamity Runestone” for the challenge.

You can get Harry’s School Trunk from unlocking 7km portkeys.

The next event is Potter’s Calamity Part 2.

You can still complete your registry even if you have yet to unlock your portkeys before the event ends, so long you have completed the event.

My portkeys didn’t finish walking in time when the event ended, but I still got the items for the registry after that.
